Distance: 36 miles and 1800 feet of elevation gain (mapping software)
All three routes start out together as they head through El Segundo to Manhattan Beach. At this point the short splits off. This short route continues south to Palos Verdes but by a slightly more direct and less hilly route than the medium. In Palos Verdes it only goes as far as Malaga Cove. The route makes a loop around the golf course and then heads back with a lunch stop in Torrance. After lunch, the return route is the same as the long and medium routes. As you can see below, there is only one significant climb and this is the loop around the golf course. Frankly, it would be easy to skip that if you wished.
