Distance: 27 miles and 900 feet of elevation gain (mapping software)
All three of today’s routes are much the same except that the long and medium each start out with some climbing which the short skips. This short starts with the medium route by heading east, but skips all the climbing and simply rejoins the long and medium routes after they come down from Mulholland. All three routes stay together for the rest of the day. All routes proceed west across the Valley by a fairly flat route to stop for lunch in Woodland Hills. After lunch, we head back to the start using the well known Wells Drive Medley back across the Valley. As you can see by the profile, there is one hill before lunch and a few hills along Wells Drive on the return, but no major climbs. On the map the red indicates the portion of the route in common with the long and medium and the pink indicates the separate beginning of the short route.
