Mount Wilson (Medium)

Distance: 29 miles and 3100 feet of elevation gain (barometric)

The medium is simply a shortened version of the long route which doesn’t go quite all the way up to Wilson. The route starts with the long route from the Rose Bowl and rides up to the beginning of Angeles Crest Hwy up on Foothill Blvd. Then it is up, up, up Angeles Crest. While the long goes all the way to Wilson, this medium simply turns around at Clear Creek.  After a break there (no food available), you simply return back down Angeles Crest to Foothill where you can stop for lunch before returning to the start. As you can see by the profile, like the long, it is almost all up hill on the way out and then almost all downhill on the way back. The profile looks the same as the long route, but it doesn’t go quite so high.
