Revel the Rollies II (Medium)

Distance: 43 miles and 1800 feet of elevation gain (barometric)

The long and medium routes are substantially the same except that the long adds an extra loop in the middle. They stay together for the first 12 miles as they head south through Irvine. At this point this medium cuts off while the long continues its loop further south. This medium cuts straight across on El Toro Road to Santiago Canyon where it rejoins the long at Cooks Corner for your view of the many motorcycles there. Together they ride through Santiago Canyon to lunch near Villa Park. A short, mostly downhill, ride takes you back to the start. The stretch along El Toro and to the peak in Santiago Canyon is the only major climb of the day and as you can see by the profile, it is a gradual climb. On the map, the red portion is the common route with the long and the blue portion is where this medium cuts off the extra loop done by the long.
