Distance: 70 miles and 1100 feet of elevation gain (barometric)
All the routes are similar. In fact, the long and medium routes stay together until shortly after lunch. The two routes start out looping around the long Beach and Seal Beach area before finally heading down to Huntington Beach. The route down is a bit inland from the coast. After lunch in Huntington Beach, the two routes split. This long continues south down to Newport Beach and rides completely around the Back Bay which is almost 7 miles completely on a bike trail. The route then heads back north along PCH all the way to Long Beach and then inland back to the start. As you can see by the profile, the route never gets much above 100 feet above sea level and is very flat.
