Distance: 57 miles and 3500 feet of elevation gain (barometric)
The long and medium routes are substantially the same except that this long adds an extra loop in the middle. They stay together for the first 12 miles as they head south through Irvine. At this point the medium cuts off and this long continues south to Aliso Viejo and Mission Viejo. It then rides the long grade up Oso Pkwy and Antonio Pkwy. You can stop for an early lunch here. It then rides through the rustic Trabuco Canyon and Live Oak Canyon before getting to Cooks Corner for your view of all the motorcycles there. The long rejoins the medium route here and together they ride through Santiago Canyon to a later lunch near Villa Park. A short, mostly downhill, ride takes you back to the start. The extra loop ridden by the long contains a fair amount of climbing including a fairly steep portion in Live Oak Canyon (the peak at mile 33 in the profile). However, once you reach the high point in Santiago Canyon (mile 35), the ride is mostly downhill back to the start.
