Long Beach Rides (Short)

Distance: 31 miles and 500 feet of elevation gain (mapping software)

This short route is identical to the medium route except that it skips the initial trip to Cerritos on the medium route. After only a few miles, this short joins the Medium where it returns to the Long Beach area. Together they loop around quite a bit covering various communities in the area. There is an early lunch at about mile 17, but you can also select a later lunch which is the same location as the lunch on the Long Route. However, this later lunch is only a few miles from the finish. As you can see by the profile, this is a very flat route. The two little blips (miles 15 and 27) both climb essentially the same ridge near Cal State University – Long Beach.
