Distance: 57 miles and 2200 feet of elevation gain (mapping software)
This route is the same as the full version except that it cuts out two of the three climbs in Palos Verdes which the full version does. We start by riding south through the beach communities down to Palos Verdes. Once there, we stay with the full version as it does the first climb up the peninsula to the hight point on Hawthorne Blvd. Instead of continuing around the peninsula, this lite version simply cuts over on Hawthorne to where the full route will be completing its third climb and stops for lunch. After lunch, the two routes return together. The trip back to the start uses a slightly different route from the trip down, but still runs close to the coast. As you can see by the profile, there is only one major climb which tops out near 1000 feet above sea level which is considerably less than the climbs on the previous trainers.
