Every Sunday in L.A. – Lou’s Corner Caper

The Corner, 9 a.m.

Social, scenic rambles every Sunday take riders through Beverly Hills to points east, west, north, and south: Griffith Park, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Mulholland Drive, Marina del Rey, South Bay, Palos Verdes. Optional stop for coffee or snacks, then back to the start or wend your way home. The ride leader usually brings a basic route sheet for  this “stick together” ride where everyone stays together, regroups for slower riders and for riders with flats or malfunctions. The group has the option to negotiate the routes and make changes along the way. Guests are invited to try two Corner rides before joining.

Every Wednesday

Griffith Park Group, 10 a.m.

Come at 9:45 a.m. to get acquainted with the group. Riders usually have two options, both with friendly folks who take care of newcomers and can introduce them to longer distances.

START: LA Zoo Parking Lot. From Ventura Fwy (134) or Golden State Fwy (5) off at any exit to Griffith Park and follow signs to Zoo Parking Lot. Meet at the north end of the lot. Every Thursday

Triple Dipper South Bay Bicycle Trail Ride, 8:30 a.m.

Meet on the bridge at the end of Ballona Creek Trail in Marina del Rey. Ride goes south on the bike trail to Palos Verdes and onward to the Peninsula for coffee at the Golden Cove Starbucks. Returns are either straight back or through the PV hills to Silver Spur then through the South Bay to the beach path. Info: Nancy Domjanovich nancyadnil@nullsbcglobal.net

 

Sometimes Saturday Valley 

San Fernando and/or San Gabriel, 8:30 or 9 a.m.  In the San Fernando and/or San Gabriel Valleys, a small group may meet at Keystone & Riverside about 8:30 or 9:00 a.m. for a fast hilly ride.  Check with Nancy or Richard (818) 985-8415 or Alan Duncan at alan.duncan@nullgmail.com
