Three Hills Trainer (Full)

Distance: 75 miles and 7700 feet of elevation gain (barometric)

Both routes are the same through the first hill. We start by immediately heading into Griffith Park for the first hill (the peak at mile 7 on the profile). We take some back roads up to the top of the Park and then down to Zoo Drive. We then head over to the Glendale area where the two routes split. On this route, the second hill (the peak at mile 19) is Camino San Rafael. There is a short, but very steep climb on Ridge Dr before starting Camino San Rafael which is also very steep. The two routes come back together on Chevy Chase. From the top of Chevy Chase, it is a short hop over to our final climb – Mount Wilson (the big peak on the profile). Obviously the third “hill” is quite a bit higher than the first two, but the trip up is mostly a relatively moderate gradient. After a break at the top, it is mostly downhill all the way back to the start.
