Tri County Safari (Medium)

Distance: 46 miles and 2800 feet of elevation gain (mapping software)

All routes stay together for the first 15 miles.  This takes the riders northeast up to San Dimas and continues east to Claremont.  The Short splits off here and the long and medium continue together south through Chino to lunch in Chino Hills. After lunch, the long and this medium split for a few miles. This medium simply short cuts the trip over to the top of Brea Canyon where it rejoins the long. While the medium is shorter than the long, it doesn’t really cut off any climbing.  It trades the climb over Carbon Canyon for a series of hills along Chino Hills Parkway and Grand Avenue. It rejoins the long for the climb over Brea Cut Off and the final climb over Grand Avenue. However, like the long, the climbing after lunch is not really very steep and you get a nice downhill after each climb.
