Dam Corner Metric Century

Distance: 64 miles and 2000 feet of elevation gain (barometric)

We start at the Corner and stay with the full century for the first 10 miles as we head through downtown LA. While the full century makes a trip through Elysian Park, this metric century continues on towards Monterey Park and then east to the Santa Fe Dam. After riding the crest of the dam, we continue a bit up-stream to Duarte and then begin a trip west through some of the foothill communities to Pasadena where we briefly rejoins the full century for lunch. After lunch, while the full century once again splits off to do some extra miles and some climbing, this metric century continues west on Colorado Blvd. to Eagle Rock and Glendale. The metric route rejoins the full century one last time to return through the Silver Lake area and along 4th Street back to the Corner. Although there are many small hills on the route, there are no major climbs. The two peaks on the profile below are really only the high points of long grades and not steep climbs.
