GRAND TOUR LITE 2007

Highland Century 125 miles, Lowland Century 100 miles, Metric Century 68 miles

This is the Los Angeles Wheelmen's traditional "September Century."

September is National Century Month.

Highland Century 125-mile route is the same Century Challenge route offered during the Grand Tour in June.  It climbs Latigo Cyn., then descends Westlake and Potrero to Camarillo.  A loop to Moorpark (lunch) and Port Hueneme (more food) before returning down the coast, completes the day. 

Lowland Century 100-mile route simply travels up the coast to Ventura, making food stops in Port Hueneme going and coming, and returns on Pacific Coast Highway.

Metric Century 68-mile route stays on the coast on P.C.H., going as far as Port Hueneme for lunch before returning. 

All routes have rest stops, a full lunch and sag support.

START:  NEW LOCATION THIS YEAR! 

From Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu (half way between Malibu Cyn. at Pepperdine U. and the Malibu Pier), go inland on Webb Way, straight ahead into Stuart Ranch Rd., continue uphill to the last parking lot, behind 23825 Stuart Ranch Rd. (same location as the Grand Tour in June). Much better parking and facilities at this new location!

The ride starts at 7:30 a.m.; please come a few minutes early to check in and pick up a route slip.  Day of Event Registration Available:  Please come at least 30 minutes early, and call or e-mail in advance so that we know how many to expect for lunch!

All Routes are supported with rest stops, sag support and a full lunch. 

            FEE:  $30 per rider.

            DISCOUNTS:  $5 OFF for Los Angeles Wheelmen members

OR $5 OFF per rider for groups of five or more registering together.

                        To register a group by mail, please send all forms in the same envelope.

                        To register a group on-line with Active.com, choose Group Discount,

                        then e-mail m.j.grove@att.net with list of riders to validate the discount.

LATE FEE:  Extra $5 after 9/15 (not until after 9/16 on-line);  please do not entrust your late registrations to the mail after 9/15, bring filled-out form to the start to save time registering there.
