This year’s Grand Tour Lite (Sunday, September 29th) is a charity ride raising money in support of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3935 in Port Hueneme. They have welcomed us to their facility for the past 20 years in support of our cycling events. It is time for us to show our gratitude of their support for us by giving back to help them do what they do, support veterans from past and present service.
100% of your ride fee will go to VFW Post 3935 and will be tax deductible.
This year the Grand Tour Lite will offer three routes, 40, 100, and 111 miles. All three routes will have full SAG support. The 40-mile option (fairly flat) will have one rest stop with water and Hammer Nutrition products only. The 100-mile option (moderately hilly) will have two rest stops with water and Hammer Nutrition products only. The 111-mile option (very hilly) will have three fully stocked rest stops. There will be an additional water stop if the weather dictates.
The ride will start and finish at the VFW Post 3935 in Port Hueneme. The cost of the ride will be $50 (100% tax deductible) for any route you choose. Feel free to make an additional (100% tax deductible) to the VFW as well. There will be a drop-down box for this on the registration form.
