Double and Double Double Centuries

Double Century Riders, the LA Wheelmen are pleased to announce that the Dead of Winter Double and Double Double are both being offered this year.  We’re putting on the ride to give the double century riders a last chance opportunity to earn CTC ride credit this year.

Registration order will be set by PayPal payment date and time.

The Dead of Winter Double Century will be run using the Dead of Winter course.

The Dead of Winter Double will be held on 12/02/2023 and 12/03/2023 with a 75 rider limit each day.  Ride date choice – and backup options if full — must be selected when submitting registration form and waiver.    

Dead of Winter Update:

Potential DoW Riders, just want to let you know that the Saturday slots are full.   We are now placing riders for the DoW on Sunday, Dec. 3rd.  Please reach out to deadofwinter@nulllawheelmen.org with any questions.

The Dead of Winter Double Double Century riders will ride the Dead of Winter Course on 12/02/2023 and again on 12/03/2023.  They will be given registration priority within the 75-rider limit.

Again this year:  E-bike category (Sunday only)  No CTC credit but a fun day on the bike.

All DoW checkpoints will provide Hammer Nutrition products and water only.  We will provide drop bag transportation to midpoint on course.

The HQ Hotel and Start/Finish location is again the Port Hueneme Holiday Inn Express. 350 East Port Hueneme Road, Port Hueneme.  They will provide discounted rates for riders by using the booking link here.

Ride Registration  

To register for the ride, send the registration fee of $50 (Double) or $75 (Double Double Century) via PayPal to @LAWheelmenGrandTour from your account or use the link: PayPal

• Don’t be anxious — this link is used both for the Grand Tour and Dead of Winter Double.
• In section “What is this for?”. type “DoW 2023.” Then the registrant’s name and email address. See the screenshot below as an example.
• If you are not paying for yourself, please do not enter your personal information.  If payment is for more than one, provide all registrants’ names and email addresses. 
• When sending funds to this account use the “Paying for an item or service” option, please do not choose the “friends and family” option. 

• All funds must be received by Friday, November 10, 2023 to avoid late fees.  Add $20 late fee November 11 through November 22, 2023.  Add $50 day of ride registration (Cash Only) Friday, December 1, 2023, at the Holiday Inn Express.
• Upon receipt of funds, we will send you a blank registration form and waiver.   
• Please don’t use old forms you may have saved.  Fill out the new forms completely, print, sign, scan*, and send to LA Wheelmen  by midnight PST, Wednesday, November 19, 2023.  
• When all materials have been received, we will send you an email confirmation.
• Rider instructions and route sheets will be provided as soon as they are completed.

*Please do not take a photo with your phone as those photos are often unintelligible and,  in addition, often exceed maximum inbox size.
